One of my recent car boot finds. My mother used to have the same little dish (she bought it in Copenhagen in the '50s), but I don't know what became of it - so it's nice to have a replacement.
I wish! This little dish did cost 20p, as a matter of fact! But I think it's actually probably worth about 20p, so no great find there. Still, it's nice to have.
It's kind of like a yard sale, but OH SO MUCH BETTER! Loads of people (hundreds!) bring their stuff in the boots of their cars and set up on tables, tarpaulins, etc. in a big field. We spent five hours at this particular boot sale, which was a very good one. I've also sold at them, which is lots of fun and a great way to make a bit of money when you're doing a clear-out.

What a sweet dish!
I bet you are one of those ladies that picks up a egg cup for 20pence only to discover its worth thousands later on! :o)

Is a car boot sale like a yard sale in the states? I have heard that term before but never really asked. lol

I do that! Buy things that remind me of my Mom or my Grammas.
