Wow! I love the colors here. And its a very interesting angle! Does that shape signify something, or is it only for decoration? And why are the gardens 'Lost'?

I think the shape is just a traditional decorative outside door thing. I could be wrong, though. The Lost Gardens are called that because they sort of disappeared around the time of WWI, after all the gardening staff had to go and fight. And after that, the gardens were hidden under vines, bracken, etc. In the early '90s, Tim Smit (Eden Project man) and his team "rediscovered" the gardens, with the help of the BBC. They found greenhouses, walled gardens, statuary, etc. and had some old plans and photos to use to help them restore it all. It's a fabulous place!
